1Points for a tile

Each time you place a tile, you score the sum of its three numbers. A 3-4-5 tile is worth 12 points, a 5-5-5 tile is worth 15.

2The opening bonus

The first tile of each round gets 10 extra points on top of its own sum. If that first tile is 0-0-0, it is worth 40 points in total.

The first turn of a round always places a tile, so there is no drawing or passing on it.

3Bonuses for shapes

Some placements earn a bonus on top of the tile's own points:

BonusWhen
Bridge+40Your tile matches one side and the point opposite it.
Hexagon+50Your tile closes a ring of six tiles.
Double hexagon+60Your tile closes two rings at once.
Triple hexagon+70Your tile closes three rings at once.

4When you cannot play

Draw a tile from the pile: each tile drawn costs 5 points. You can draw up to 3 tiles. If one of them fits, place it and score it as usual.

If nothing fits after 3 draws, you pass and lose 10 more points, so the turn costs 25 in total.

5End of a round

A round ends when one player places their last tile, or when nobody can play (the game is blocked).

Going out: the player who placed their last tile scores 25, plus the sum of all the tiles still left in the other players' hands.

Blocked: each player adds up the tiles left in their hand. The player with the lowest total scores the difference between their total and each other player's total. If two or more players tie for the lowest, each of them scores it.

6Who wins

Players agree on a target before the game, usually 400 points (200 for a shorter game). When someone reaches the target, the round is still played to the end. Then the highest total wins.

7Examples

  • 345A 3-4-5 tile: 3 + 4 + 5 = 12 points.
  • 255A 2-5-5 tile that forms a bridge: 12 + 40 = 52 points.
  • 114Drew 2 tiles (-10), then placed 1-1-4 (+6): this turn is worth -4.
  • 000A round opened with 0-0-0: 40 points.
